Each drop contains:
Vitamin D3: 400 IU

Vitamin D promotes calcium absorption in the gut and maintains adequate serum calcium and phosphate concentrations to enable normal bone mineralization. Without sufficient vitamin D, bones can become thin, brittle, or misshapen. Vitamin D is used to treat and prevent bone disorders such as rickets in children. To avoid developing a vitamin D deficiency, the Dietary Guidelines for Americans and American Academy of Pediatrics recommend breastfed and partially breastfed infants be supplemented with 400 IU per day of vitamin D beginning in the first few days of life.
